4 Part Lesson — Marcelo traps his opponent in a Bulldog Choke while countering a Single: [I] Using your hand on your opponent's head to slow his rise, if you notice a clearing around his neck, release the post and wrap around his throat to finish with the Bulldog Choke. [II] Incrementally take weight off of your opponent to help set up the trap; clasp your hands together and kick your leg forward to free yourself from the Single Leg while applying the choke. [III] If your opponent is rising up too fast, kick your leg free and swing it behind, jumping onto his back. If his neck is open, land without hooks and apply the squeezing pressure. [IV] Note that you must jump backward without losing weight and pressure forward onto his back to maintain the mount. If there is no choking opportunity available after the hop-over, simply secure the Seatbelt.
