Marcelo integrates stand-up and ground sparring for his advanced class: Groups of three alternate pairings with one partner free to help prevent accidental collision. If a takedown occurs during the first minute, the position is reset back up on their feet until the round-timer signals the start of the remaining time dedicated exclusively for grounded training. Whenever you are standing up with your partner, take heed of the following conditions; Head-Outside Single-Leg Take-Downs, Spiking or Burial Techniques, and Low-Jumping Guard-Pulls/Back-Takes from the Rear Waist-Lock Position.
